“Restless” is a good word to describe 2023 to 2024.

“We were enjoying being active and spending time outdoors in Colorado, but we wanted different adventures, not something quite as fleeting as travel.   We needed something that added more meaning to our lives.”

The Peace Corps was a possibility but their options had to have 3 requirements:

• no language requirement
• couples allowed
• and a need for their business skills

Peace Corps had launched a new program called “Peace Corps Response,” in which a person spends between 3 months to one year overseas. They applied for a spot in Botswana doing Community Economic Development, focused on the eco-tourism trade. After 8 months of medical and background checks, they were accepted.
